    Signal Mountain Self Storage Expansion

    Chattanooga Storage Facility to Expand

    Chattanooga, TN– Due to new housing being built in Chattanooga and surrounding areas, Signal Mountain Self Storage is expanding, bringing the area a newly renovated facility with a total of 600 units and will be 19,580 ft.   Signal Mountain Self Storage is seeing a lot of progress in their expansion. The demolition phase has now ended, and phase two will soon be underway.

    The facility, formerly the site of Mountain Creek Grammar School and Mountain Creek Elementary School, will be keeping artifacts such as the brick and concrete cornerstone that lists the name of the school, the year erected, school board members, the builder, and the architect.  The brick that is being recycled has now been set aside and will be used to form interior walls for the front office. The project is currently scheduled to be completed this September.  Property Manager, Leslie Bruce, states “I am doing two scrapbooks, one for the new office and one for the owner, with pictures and dates of the progress from the start.”

    Signal Mountain Self Storage Expansion

    Chattanooga Storage Facility To Expand 

    Chattanooga, TN– Due to downtown Chattanooga and surrounding areas seeing so much new housing, new self storage expansion is taking place in the city block of W Road and Mountain Creek Road. Located at the base of Signal Mountain, Signal Mountain Self Storage has brought in local contractor TG Edwards Construction Company to assist with the construction, which is scheduled to be completed in September. Mountain Creek Grammar School, which was one of the original foundations on the property, will be demolished for the expansion.

    Erected in 1910, the history of Mountain Creek Grammar School will live on in the newly expanded storage facility. Having been converted for storage in the late 80s or early 90s, bricks from the original school building will be used to form three of the interior walls of the front office while the school’s original concrete corner will be added to the office. The corner stone reveals pieces of history surrounding the former elementary school, including the builder, architect, and original school board members. In addition to recycling the bricks, the metal and copper will be recycled as well. The renovated facility will see a total of 600 units and will be 19,580 square feet. “We look forward to continuing to service our loyal customers and friends in the Signal Mountain community,” commented Signal Mountain staff.

    Florida self-storage facility sells for competitive price

    Tampa, FL (5/30/17) - SkyView Advisors (SVA), the Tampa, FL based self storage real estate firm, is pleased to announce the sale of Stor-N-More Self Storage to NSA Property Holdings, LLC. Ryan Clark, Director of Investment Sales at SkyView Advisors represented the seller, Crosstown Stor-N-More, LLC.

    Ryan Clark, the deal lead for this transaction stated, “This property is a high quality class A facility in a prime location. The property attracted several national and regional buyers. After the seller interviewed multiple firms, he worked with our team to define his goals. We developed a strategy to achieve those goals, and executed a successful transaction for both the buyer and seller.”

    Stor-N-More Self Storage is a class A facility located just minutes from downtown Tampa. The facility is situated on 7.02 acres of land and had 117,655 net rentable square feet. Built in 2008 this facility consists of 1,105 units. Of those 1,105, 880 are climate controlled units, 155 are non-climate controlled units and 70 units are for parking and miscellaneous use. The units range in size from 25 to 400 square feet. The population within a three-mile radius of the facility is 70,128 and the population within five miles of the facility is 164,162.
